For our destination wedding in Mexico, we chose the beautiful island of Cozumel. Cozumel is the largest Mexican island, located just 11 miles by ferry (30 minutes) from Playa del Carmen. It is popular for being the second largest diving reef in the world, however it is also known as the sacred destination where Mayan women came to worship the Goddess of Ixchel, who is the Goddess of Love and Fertility.

Our wedding took place on June 3, 2007 at sunset at Mr. Sancho's Beach Club. We had 19 guests who stayed with us at Sabor in the awesome Reef Club Resort. We spent our time relaxing by the pools, on the beach, sailing, snorkeling and kiteboarding. The slides and the swim-up bar in Sabor got put to full use!

Thanks to all who came and celebrated our special day with us. It was an awesome trip and we could have not asked for a more perfect wedding. Thanks to Stephanie with Cozumel Wedding Planner for making our wedding beautiful and strees free.
